Lenny
mutation: immortality, self healing (slow)
a somewhat naive but well-meaning guy. socially awkward in a way that makes
people hang out with him out of pity. only recently found out that he's a
mutant, and it's opened up a whole new world for him, also because he was
forced to flee the house he grew up in. A true 'late bloomer' who knows
very little about mutant culture and never really cared until he found out he
was one. Only feels confident when his closest childhood friend is with him.
Louis
mutation: ability to influence people's emotions by focusing on them. Works better
on people the closer he is to them. Only other telepaths can tell he's doing it.
Personality: deeply insecure. he and Lenny grew up together, bonding over being
bullied. had his 'glow up' (mainly LASIK) in high school. Knew he was a mutant
since he was a little kid. He says he doesn't use his powers on his friends,
though he will freely admit he has used it to shoplift on multiple occasions. he's
only really good at negative emotions, and when he tries to influence someone to
get happy, he often accidentally makes them nervous instead.
Kitty Pryde
mutation: she can become intangible and phase through anything, including walls,
her bed (she usually wakes up underneath it), and even other people
Kitty is a sweetheart and sees the best in everyone. Her childhood was almost
comically traumatic, which she seems to barely be bothered by. Professor
Xavier took her in at a young age and gave her a second chance at life. She
was basically raised by her teachers. Lenny's roommate. She's very interested
in mutant history and mutant culture, and is probably the most well-informed
person in the school other than the headmaster himself.
Professor Charles Xavier
mutation: perhaps the world's strongest telepath. he can read thoughts,
talk to people through their minds, locate a specific person anywhere in the
world, just to name a few things.
The headmaster at the school Lenny and Louis have started going to ever
since Lenny found out he was a mutant. The school offers classes from
elementary school all the way to university-level. Charles is a true
'bleeding heart' and is very passionate about caring for his students. He is
also a somewhat famous mutant rights activist. He is overworked, but
still teaches classes, mainly to other telepaths to help them control their
powers. His superhero name is "Professor X".
Logan
mutation: a "feral" mutant, meaning regeneration, slowed aging, and
retractable claws. Being feral means he's sometimes easily aggravated.
history teacher at high school and university level at Xavier's school.
He generally means well, but is at his heart a loner and doesn't really
'do' close friendships. Has a lot of nightmares and feels very guilty
about everything he does. Hopelessly addicted to the taste of human
flesh, against his will. He didn't ask to be this way. His superhero
name is "Wolverine".
Ororo Munroe
mutation: the ability to control the weather and create rain from thin air.
Storm is a social studies teacher at Xavier's school. She's very invested in
mutant rights and is a mutant rights activist. A very caring person and
one of Xavier's closest friends. The environment is also very important
to her, she can feel it in the air if nearby nature is being hurt. Her
superhero name is "Storm".
