history
Jeff was born as the runt of a litter of catgirls, weaker and smaller than the rest and less likely to survive. She did pull through, however, though her mother never seemed too happy about that. Living in London, England in a council flat with her mother and siblings, Jeff grew up relatively unliked. She got bad grades in school and once she discovered the internet she became an online menace and got even worse grades in school. She started self harming because she hates herself but pretends to be overly obsessed with herself so it hurts less (though she also partially started to get approval from random pervs online). On the outside, she started protecting herself by being mean to everyone before they had a chance to hurt her, while in secret, she gushed over the things and people she liked, and lamented the fact that nobody seemed to like her back. During this time, she started obsessing over several bands, but especially The Beatles. Many times when she couldn't fall asleep, she'd imagine Paul McCartney coming to her house and taking her away to some better place where people actually liked her.During her last few years of school, she met a girl named Dorothy who for some reason didn't seem put off by her facade. They did a lot together and Jeff spent a lot of time over at Dorothy's house. But when Dorothy was in a car accident and lost most of her limbs, it freaked Jeff out and she stopped talking to Dorothy for months, years, even. They only reconnected after they'd both graduated school already.
Jeff's mother did NOT like her and often locked her out of the house or didn't allow her to eat dinner as punishments for the pranks and mischief Jeff got up to. So as a kid, Jeff would be out all the time haunting random shops, sitting around outside or knocking on random people's doors to start a conversation with them out of boredom. Sometimes people took pity on her and let her stay in their house for a bit and drink some water or whatever.
traits
Jeff isn't a good person. She acts like she peaked in high school, even though nobody liked her there and she got bad grades. She steals from shops and is rude to people for the heck of it. She's obsessed with anime and the Beatles but doesn't have interesting theories about anything, only interacting with most things on a surface level. She's kind of dense and weird yet acts over-confident. Ghosts people for no reason. Gets into shipping discourse online. Still wears her school uniform for the "aesthetic" even though she graduated years ago. Wears cute bows and one coloured contact so she can look 'more interesting' with heterochromia. She's pretentious yet dull. Even as an adult, she still hopes Paul McCartney will marry her one day. Occasionally, she goes out in boy clothes and wants to be referred to as him and he but people are wary about actually calling her those because they're worried she's just doing it as a joke (she isn't. She's likely bigender or some sort of genderfluid but she is not able to deal with the pressure of identifying as, well, anything really.) She occasionally makes off-colour jokes and never apologizes, only says she was just joking and that people should just get thicker skin.relationships
Dorothy: Dorothy is Jeff's childhood best friend. While they at one point didn't speak for over a year (after Dorothy's accident) Dorothy has, for whatever reason, decided to forgive Jeff anyways. Jeff feels really guilty towards her and does a lot for Dorothy, taking her on walks and helping her around the house, et cetera. Jeff steals gift cards from shops to fund Dorothy's gacha game addiction, and Dorothy freely takes advantage of Jeff's guilt. It's a kind of mutually toxic relationship, but they do get along, and if it works for them, I guess we shouldn't judge.CJ: CJ Bail is a woman a few years older than Jeff who lives around a block away from her. Jeff is intrigued by her tinkering on computers and whatnot and frequently crashes at her house, content to just sit quietly on the couch while CJ works, never offering to help her or anything. CJ doesn't mind, and actually kind of enjoys the company. They share an appreciation for the band Oasis and occasionally have these long, drawn out makeout sessions that have very little emotion behind them. It's more of a "I guess this is all I can get" type of relationsip on either side, though they're not exclusive or anything. It's just kind of something they do, occasionally.
others: is in a sort of friend group with Dorothy, Schiermonnikoog and Birthday Boy, though she's not really close with the latter two. Schiermonnikoog actively dislikes her, in fact, while Birthday Boy just doesn't know her very well. She likes to flirt with Schiermonnikoog (who looks a bit like Paul McCartney, face-wise) who finds it all very annoying, but doesn't tell her to stop because she'd feel bad to tell someone off who's been through that much.
appearance
Jeff is a catgirl. She has an average to thin build, and if she's shirtless you can see her ribs. She has naturally pink hair that she wears in a bob cut. Her eyes are blue but she often wears one pink contact. Her cat ears and tail have the hair length of an average shorthair cat. Her fashion sense can range from cutesy anime-inspired outfits to oversized tracksuits and mismatched socks or even shoes. She'll carry around a packet of cigarettes and her phone (with a busted screen she's too lazy to get replaced) and some wired earbuds or something. Wears a lot of sneakers. She actively self harms so she has scars and stuff but she never cuts super deep because it scares her.gallery
