OC WORLD
work in progress... but I'm going to put all my ocs here and make little profiles and whatnot. so yeah
OCs will be sorted by "universe" they're in, and will have tags and whatnot to better identify them.
Catgirl Universe
In this universe, Kemonomimi (Animal-eared people) are more common than full humans,
though they do both exist and live together peacefully (examples: Jeff, Dorothy, Corfumo).
Kemonomimi can have children with each other regardless of 'subspecies'. Kemonomimi lifespan
depends on what animal they take their characteristics from. For example, cats live up to
20 years, so catpeople can live up to 200. Catpeople have three sexes: Males, Females and
Mollies (aka, females capable of giving birth.) Females and mollies are pretty much identical
with two big changes-- Where the womb/uterus is a vestigial organ in females, they work in
mollies, making them the only sex capable of giving birth. Also, where females have two
nipples, mollies have six. Mollies are much rarer than females, but make up for it by having litters
of up to six children at a time. There is no specific sexism towards mollies or females. The
only group that is genuinely treated as 'lesser' are runts, the underfed, under-cared-for
smallest and weakest of litters. A lot of them don't make it into adulthood. This is seen as a
necessity to promote the growth of their stronger siblings. Jeff was a runt, but turned out
great!*
*subjective.
Gijinka, the soul-having personifications of places, items and concepts, are born when faith
in them is strong enough (example: Schiermonnikoog). And even when they are
long-forgotten, they live on in some way, being effectively immortal. The only way they can truly
die is if every single person forgets about them and nothing about them is mentioned anywhere
anymore (such as texts, art, etc.). Shipgirls (example: Evertsen) are a type of Gijinka,
though by some kind of difference they gain the power of their namesake warship at their birth,
while Gijinka don't have the same powers as what they're based on. These two species aren't
really 'born' in the classic sense, they more just... appear, fully formed. Gijinka that take the
form of a child will never grow older, mentally or physically.
